Sweet Potato Soup

–  6 cups peeled and chopped sweet potatoes

–  3 cups water

–  2 cloves garlic, minced

–  1 tsp allspice

–  1/8 – 1/4 tsp black pepper

–  1 tbsp maple syrup

–  2 tbsp minced fresh sage

Add sweet potatoes, water, garlic, allspice and black pepper to a medium pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until sweet potatoes can be easily pierced with a fork. Add maple syrup and sage and remove from heat. Blend with an immersion blender until smooth.
